Non profit events are organized either to promote a noble cause or used to serve the societal need of the people. Non profit events are designed in order to communicate the core cause for which that event has taken place. The speaker is the central point serving the purpose of the event, and podium therefore is of great importance. However, the publicity and promotion is equally or sometimes more required in non profits events. Therefore, the marketing efforts in non profit events are always directed to using media options in a way which will optimize their reach using low cost and higher display options.
Mostly events are lingering to high media coverage. Usually print media is in support of non profit events which require still pictures of the speaker, and the event to be displayed in forth coming editions. It creates news for print media by educating and attracts more people, telling them about the happenings of society. Electronic media, because of its high on air charges are not seen promoting unpaid events too often.
In still pictures, background of the picture is of vital importance as it creates the aura and the ambiance in the picture about the event, and issues related to it. Also giving it the meticulous look to the picture by creating the boundary of the picture in which there is usually the information about the event.
Step and repeats usually consist of a large vinyl display attached to an aluminum stand. It has one or several company/organization logos……and the information is printed in the successive forms. It has low cost attached to it, and usually is large enough to cover the camera lens, which captures the speaker. The frame structure provided with the banner provides comparatively a firm base for the banner which allows it to stand still. It is also light in weight.
When it comes to the publicity of any non profit event, as stated earlier, print media becomes the forte to the promotion. Usually still pictures are taken. However, the question is how does the banner help in promotion? The answer is in the cost. The logo of the organization; which most often is an NGO in non profit events, or the core purpose of the event is stated in the banner. Now, every time the picture of the speaker is taken: the logo goes along with it. As a result, where ever the picture of the speaker is displayed, whether consciously or not, the company logo is displayed with it. It increases the impact of the advertising message and reduces the promotion cost.
